Luminous Wisdom Sandplay Therapy and Counseling PLLC

Hello and welcome to Luminous Wisdom Sandplay Therapy and Counseling! I'm happy to introduce myself as I have been in the mental health field for almost 20 years. During this time, I worked in a crisis center for teens, residential housing for adults with severally and persistently mentally ill adults, in a school k-8th, and finally in a clinic setting since 2017 specializing in children and families. I opened my own private practice to help develop my clinical approach in which the client understands and knows what they need to heal and grow. In my experience, constant reviews and paperwork were not helping the healing process and it was causing frustration on both sides, the client and me. Just like I believe the client knows what they need to heal and grow, I know what I need in order to be an excellent clinician. The red tape was not helping. And so, I am here, with both "Me's" in mind. We are doing our thing to allow growth through authenticity. I promise, I will be authentic with you through your journey of healing. My specialty is Sandplay Therapy, available for ages four to hundred and five. I've been building this specialty since 2018 and I'm proud to be a Registered Sandplay Practitioner with Sandplay Therapist of America, being one of many states in the area. I engage in ongoing consultation and training to keep up on the newest research and to stay engaged in the sandplay community. This truly is a passion of mine. Even though I love Sandplay, you do not have to use this method, but know that it is always available if you choose to do so. I also engage in ongoing training for Adlerian Therapy, which includes, positive parenting and family systems. This method is newer to me, being a focus for the last three years on side of Sandplay. The two theories actually mingle well with each other. Finally, I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Narrative, Dream work, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. I utilize a lot of client centered play and art therapy.
